Reliance Industries Chairman Mr.Mukesh Ambani unveiled the Jio smart Phone at the Reliance 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) conducted recently. The Jio smart Phone subscribers will initially has to deposit Rs 1,500, this amount will be refundable after three years. The extraordinary and unique feature about Reliance Jio smart phone is that the user will be able to connect the mobile to any kind of TV including the old, bulky TVs known as CRT (cathode ray tube) TVs and mirror all content. At this stage 125 million Jio service users are getting free voice calls , now it will extend to all new Jio smart Phone buyers will also get free voice calls.
Jio offering at tactile plans to the newly enrolling customers along with the smart phone. With this offer, users will be eligible to get free voice call, messaging and unlimited data for a month. There are lesser price top ups available a’s well. With the attractive packs such as Rs 23 and Rs 53, complete Jio services for two and seven days are available.

– FM Radio and Torchlight
– An SD Card slot

– Apart from these the phone will come pre-loaded with Jio Apps such as JioMusic, JioCinema and JioTV.
JioPhone will be available for beta testing to the users starting from independence day (August 15) and interested users can make pre-bookings for the Jio smart starting from August 24. Buyers who have pre booked their smart phones will get the phones from September on ‘first come, first served’ basis. Here is the good news, all JioPhones will be made in India from October.
Reliance Jio will also place great effort to increase its coverage to reach more people and has set a target of covering 99 percent of the population, which is much higher than the 2G coverage.
Reliance also plans to open up 10,000 sales partners and planning to increase touch points in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
